Pin Dolls

These are the pin dolls that I designed and will be sharing how to make at the October meeting for the doll club that I belong to in Ottawa. I will be showing doll club members how to use a special template that I designed to insure correct placement of facial features every time. The pin dolls can also be made into ornaments. I am looking forward to our next doll club meeting. It should be a lot of fun!

WELCOME

I am Marla Niederer and I would like to welcome you to my blog, Orsini's Angels. . I have been a self-taught mixed media figurative artist since my earliest childhood memories. For a good part of my adult life I fought my desire towards chasing everything shiny down the artistic rabbit hole so I could focus on, learn, and develop techniques in figurative fiber art until I was able to create what visions danced in my heart and head. Now that I get to spend every day creating art, I can follow everything shiny down the artistic rabbit hole. While I still create figurative art and plan to continue to do so, I am finding myself traveling along other artistic paths such as watercolor painting, jewelry making, paper cutting art, book binding, art journaling, mixed media, sculpture and whatever other artistic adventures that capture my attention at the moment. I love to share the techniques I use with other artists and have been teaching online and in person classes for many years. I have also started sharing free tutorials on my OrsinisAngels YouTube channel. I hope you enjoy taking a peek at them from time to time and join me in my artistic journeys. I am fortunate to live in northern New York with the love of my life where we are surrounded by the exquisite beauty of nature. The constant view of nature’s beauty strongly influences my work.
