I haven’t posted in a bit. I’ve been a bit behind on things but thought I would share with you what I have been up to lately.
I’m
continuing to work on organizing my studio and have recently focused on my
sewing room.
My sewing room art doll display
This
is one of the walls of the sewing room where I just put up a display of my collection of art
dolls. Some are vintage, some were created by other doll artists, and some were made by me.
These
are the vintage Baitz dolls that I have collected. The one on the right is a souvenir doll from
Appenzell Switzerland where part of my husband’s family is from and where we
have visited in the past. The other two are the Baitz Mozart pair that I fell
in love with and had to have.
Doll made by Barbara Schoenoff
This
is a doll created for me by Barbara Schoenoff as part of a doll exchange. Lucky me!
Doll made by Christine Shively Benjamin
This
is an angel made by Christine Shively Benjamin.
Isn’t she lovely!
Doll I created using Peggy Wilson's Long Tall Sally pattern |
This
is a doll made by me quite some time ago using Peggy Wilson’s Long Tall Sally
pattern for the doll.
Bear and Raccoon Magic Dolls by Marla L. Niederer
These
are the dolls I made for the online class I taught called Bear and Raccoon
Magic.

Ocean Goddess Mermaid by Marla L. Niederer |
This
is the mermaid, Ocean Goddess, that I created.
It took me six months to bead embroider her!
This
is one of my favorite sewing machines that I use to sew my art dolls. I also created the sewing companion, the
Little Miss Marie, and Little Lamb Lissette.
There is a free tutorial on how to create your own Little Lamb Lissette
in the tutorial section below.
I
hope you viewing part of my sewing studio today.
In
my next post I will share some of the holiday decorating I have also been doing
with you.
